Board games are a great way to pass the time, take a break from staring at a screen all day, and bring people together. Buy a board game with bigger text to make it easier for those with visual impairments can play! There are so many options! Scrabble is a classic.

4. Magnifier

Magnifiers, as the name suggests, help with making things closer. You can get them something simple like a magnifying glass (the first one picture) and there are fancier ones like the second picture that are better for reading a book, newspaper, etc.

5. Low Vision Keyboard

Keyboards can be hard to read, particularly when they don’t have a lot of contrast to them, and the letters are too small. Here is one keyboard that addresses both of these problems!

6. LED Lamp

LED Lamps help to brighten places to make it much easier to see. This is an LED magnifier lamp so it is similar to the other magnifiers but it stands alone as a lamp.

7. Smart Speakers

Voice command devices are extremely handy for anyone. Get an Amazon Echo! Amazon recently released a new version.

8. Wearable Technology

If you’re able to make an investment, you should definitely look into wearable devices! They’re a headset that uses virtual reality technology to help you see better. They’re a step up from any other magnifiers on the market. This headset from Vision Buddy also comes with TV watching capabilities because it streams the screen directly into the headset!
